This is quite surprising to hear, most of us assumed that we would get the conclusion to the Assassin Creed current story line in the next installment but it appears that that’s not the case anymore…

According to Bleeding Cool, Titan Comics, who have published Assassin’s Creed’s graphic novels in the past will be tasked to handle the final parts of the story. Titan will also merge their existing Assassin’s Creed comics into one book, which will launch in February and pick up the Project Phoenix story then.

This is very interesting when you think about it. There was a rumor floating around that the next Assassin’s Creed game will be somewhat of a soft reboot and is meant to take place in Egypt so it does kinda add up when you think about it like that.

In case you’re kinda lost, a while back Ubisoft stated:

This year, we also are stepping back and re-examining the Assassin’s Creed franchise. As a result, we’ve decided that there will not be a new Assassin’s Creed game in 2016. Since the release of Assassin’s Creed Unity, we’ve learned a lot based on your feedback. We’ve also updated our development processes and recommitted to making Assassin’s Creed a premier open-world franchise. We’re taking this year to evolve the game mechanics and to make sure we’re delivering on the promise of Assassin’s Creed offering unique and memorable gameplay experiences that make history everyone’s playground.

Personally, I’m hoping they go with the Egyptian route and the reboot because the story, as entertaining as it was, has lost its charm after Desmond died but that’s just my opinion. Let me know what you guys think of this.
