There are many fanbases out there that are passionate about their respective IP’s, but as far as I am concern, none are as passionate as the Sonic Community when it comes to creating fan-based projects of their favorite blue hedgehog. This time, we have SONIC X REANIMATE, a 17 months production that brings together animators and illustrators to reanimate the 5th episode of the Sonic X series, “Cracking Knuckles”.
SONIC X REANIMATE was spear-headed by (Bilianna, formerly known as ILuvKnucklesShadow), and it had a whopping 290 animators and illustrators working on this so the dedication and organizing of this project are insane.
What I liked about it is how each animator and illustrator express their own artistic vision of the episode, while ensuring that everything flowed well. It was so well done that even the official Sonic the Hedgehog account took notice of it and praised their work. It really cool and everyone that participated in this is extremely talented in their own rights, so I wanted to highlight it here.
