I’m pretty sure that I speak for everyone when I say that no one wants to wait for the next big Dragon Ball movie in order to see what Broly has been up to with Cheelai and Lemo, so wouldn’t it make sense to have some sort of spin off series that tells the story of what these guys have been up to while Goku and Vegeta are handling the issues with Galactic patrols?

Now I ain’t talking about something in the lines of GT, where the directors would just randomly pull shit out of their assess and call it a day but, an actual canon spin off to the Dragon Ball Super lore that’s supervised by Akira Toriyama himself. Now, what I had in mind was like small, OVA-like episodes, probably no more than 10 minutes of Broly, Cheelai and Lemo on their day to day adventures. From lighthearted stories to maybe a couple of epic battles, these skits would allow Toriyama to add more depth the three characters, specially Broly and cement him well into the world of Dragon’s canon timeline.

With how successful Dragon Ball Super: Broly ended up been, with an amazing 102.3 million USD worldwide box office performance, I get the feeling that they might actually do something like this spin off. Heck I would, and why not? It’d be a great opportunity to capitalize on the hype for Broly and simultaneously give us more Broly to consume. And with the notion of it being a Spin off, they can do a lot of things that probably wouldn’t fly with the main show but still keeping it relatively canon. I mean, who wouldn’t want to see Broly fly a ship and crash it? That’s just my thoughts on it. I’m not suggestion that Broly becomes a gag character or a comic relief and lose that novelty, that’d probably Lemo or Cheelai’s job. However seeing some funny moments with them would be kinda cool. Let me know how you feel about this idea?
