In a world filled with magical creatures, who would have thought that a slime could be this over-powered! Once again, we’re checking out another new fall anime called That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime or TENSEI SHITARA SLIME DATTA KEN for you weebs out there.

Corporate worker Mikami Satoru is stabbed by a random killer, and is reborn to an alternate world. But he turns out to be reborn a slime! Thrown into this new world with the name Rimuru, he begins his quest to create a world that’s welcoming to all races.

I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t expect for me to enjoy this anime as much as I did. It has this weird quirk to it that’s so engrossing to watch. And the humour is honestly great. Bruh when that Dragon Tempest said that he “accidentally” blew up a village, I knew we had something here. Who knew that dialogue between dragon and a slime trying to become friends could be this entertaining.

I really liked the animation and its presentation for certain things, like when the slime would get a new skills or the fights scenes in which there’s little censorship. From how Satoru absorbs items to learn and obtain skills, to receiving names that causes you to evolve, the concept is all pretty interesting. My gamer instinct kept thinking that this would make for a pretty fun game to play. I could see my self going around naming every monsters I see, just to see how they’d evolve.

As I’ve mentioned before, the jokes and humour haven’t failed to at least make me crack a smile on my face from time to time. I also like the idea of a slime going around and assembling an army of monsters at his side. It’s definitely worth the watch if you’re looking to have something casual to watch. The visuals are great and really well animated and the music is alright, it definitely captures the mood of every scene.

Overall, I’d recommended you to give it a watch, it may surprise you just as it has for me.
