Disney’s Aladdin 2019 Looks…Alright! I Need To See More!

I never got a chance to give my thoughts on Disney’s Aladdin that’s coming out next summer so I’m doing it now. Better late than never..right?

β€œAladdin” is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, the film is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s β€œAladdin.”

I really might be the only one here that might feel this way and I’m fully aware that all we got was a 1 minute teaser trailer for the movie, but does the movie look…bland to anyone? What I mean is, it looks great don’t get me wrong, and I liked the aesthetics and the world itself but I felt as if it lacked… vibrance in colour.

What I mean by this is, when we saw the Cave of Wonders, it didn’t look like a cave filled with wonders. I know there’s no way for them to accurately replicate the Cave of Wonders from the animation, but I guarantee you, if I showed this to anyone who’s at least knowledgeable of Aladdin, they wouldn’t recognize it. Nothing about that trailer felt “magical” to me so I definitely will need to see more before I make my full judgement of course.

Other than that, I can’t wait to see it. Its already has 16M views on YouTube with a huge amount of likes, so clearly I’m in the minority when it comes to my opinion. Let me know your thoughts on it.
