I never got a chance to give my thoughts on Disney’s Aladdin that’s coming out next summer so I’m doing it now. Better late than never..right?

“Aladdin” is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, the film is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s “Aladdin.”

ALADDIN-

I really might be the only one here that might feel this way and I’m fully aware that all we got was a 1 minute teaser trailer for the movie, but does the movie look…bland to anyone? What I mean is, it looks great don’t get me wrong, and I liked the aesthetics and the world itself but I felt as if it lacked… vibrance in colour.

What I mean by this is, when we saw the Cave of Wonders, it didn’t look like a cave filled with wonders. I know there’s no way for them to accurately replicate the Cave of Wonders from the animation, but I guarantee you, if I showed this to anyone who’s at least knowledgeable of Aladdin, they wouldn’t recognize it. Nothing about that trailer felt “magical” to me so I definitely will need to see more before I make my full judgement of course.

Other than that, I can’t wait to see it. Its already has 16M views on YouTube with a huge amount of likes, so clearly I’m in the minority when it comes to my opinion. Let me know your thoughts on it.
