After months of waiting, Attack on Titan season 3 returns with Episode 50. The operation to retake Wall Maria commences in Shiganshina, the town where everything began.

Man, it’s good to be back. Attack on Titan season 3 Episode 50 – The Town Where Everything Began starts of with the squad finally making their way back to Eren’s hometown. While on their journey, Eren has his internal crisis  again about whether or not he’s capable of completing the mission to retake Shinganshina. To be fair, that’s a lot of pressure to put on one person so I can understand why he’d feel this why. I know that last year I was constantly shitting on Eren but now I’m starting to see his point of view. Now, I wanted to point out that titan that was supposedly sleeping. I bet you 2 cents, that was a scout titan keeping track on who’s passing by to Shinganshina. Well, they finally get to Shinganshina and begin their operation to seal the two doors that was destroyed. They were able to seal the first door pretty easily which naturally rasies a lot of concerns, not to mention that there’s no titan in sight.

Meanwhile, Armin figured out that the enemy has already infiltrated the area and is lurking by to ambush them. Armin, once again is the goat of the show, using that genius head of his to figure out that in order to beat the titans, he’s gotta stop thinking with common sense. With that. they started to investigate the walls to check if they’re hiding in them and sure enough one of the scouts finds Reiner. RIP to that guy.

Anyways, Levi wasted no time and sliced into this man’s head in to kill Reiner before he could transform. Despite the effort, Reiner was still able to transform, which caught me off guard. I mean, it shouldn’t have but then again that was a clean cut to the throat and a stab to the heart. That man should be dead.

Is that a normal titan’s power or just something just specific to Reiner because that man should have died. Things escalate hella quick as the ape titan, along with other titans started showing up in unison to attack. The way these titans pulled up was kinda clean, which make me wonder if that Ape titan has the ability to turn people from humans to titan and back.

The ape titan made the first move and sealed the gate that they used to enter Shinganshina, making it impossible to escape. Man, that seen was amazing and really made that episode.

Overall, a great start to this new second half of the season. No time was wasted so you know the next episode is going to be some heat. I can’t wait to see what the Ape titan will do next and the fight between Eren and Reiner.
