Yeah, you read right! An anime titled “The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf” film is officially in the works from series showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and writer Beau DeMayo.

Since this is going to be a film and not a full series, I don’t mind it. I’m actually quite happy that “anime” is been more adopted by the western world and no longer seen as just “weird Japanese cartoon”. We don’t know when it’s going to be released on Netflix but it goes to show you that the live-action series of The Witcher must have done extremely well, despite what some naysayers would like you to believe.

Now, there’s only one question that remains, will this anime adapt the books, games or be its own original work? Hopefully, we’ll find the answer to that question soon enough.
