Listen, if you had told be that CGI anime would become a thing, I would have laughed my ass off and called you baka. However, it appears that Gantz:O is making that evolutionary leap…

Gantz: O is an upcoming Japanese CGI anime action film directed by Yasushi Kawamura, produced by Digital Frontier, written by Tsutomu Kuroiwa and based on the manga Gantz, written and illustrated by Hiroya Oku which tells the story of of Kei Kurono and Masaru Kato, both whom died in a train accident and have become part of a semi-posthumous “game” in which they and several other recently deceased people are forced to hunt down and kill aliens armed with a handful of futuristic items, equipment, and weaponry.

The visuals is what really caught my attention. The manga already has an anime adaptation which I’ve watched, so it’d interesting to see what route this version will take to tell the story. If I also remember correctly, the anime was very mature, something you wouldn’t recommend to a child to watch so it’d be interesting to see how they will address certain scenes.
