You know, just yesterday I praised the game for its epic and immersive story-telling, now I’m here to point out flaws and deception on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the hypocrisy that many have shown in defence of this game. History is always told by the victors of war and so, manipulation of it is a sin that cannot be forgiven. And this game isn’t helping with it.
I’ve been playing the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare game on the weekends, mostly the campaign mode as I didn’t feel like getting massacred on multiplayer just yet. Just like any egotistical gamer out there, I chose the highest difficulty available for the campaign (I ain’t no bitch), and the experience has been unreal.
With the next generation soon upon us, a lot of us are excited for the PS5 & Xbox Scarlett and maybe even the Nintendo Switch Pro, however my only question that I have for this next gen is this, is Xbox finally ready to compete on an even playing field with Playstation in 2020? Because less face it, Xbox was irrelevant this gen. Facts!
Yeah, I really wanted to stay out of this China/Hong Kong talk but since it involved the gaming industry, I thought I’d share my thoughts on it. Plus, a similar thing happened with the NBA and I had no way of tieing it in…until now.
One of my biggest annoyances when it comes to character creation sections in games is the lack of hair options for Afrocentric people. Look, it’s great that they finally added detailed skin tone variations, but that really does me or people like me any good when I’m forced to either go with the Afro, thick dreads or buzz cuts IF I wanted to created an authentic Black character. And what’s puzzling to me is why that’s always been largely ignored. At first I thought, “huh, maybe our hair just ain’t that easy to model or animate”, then I’d take one look at ANY of the 2K NBA games and realize that’s bullshit.
Look, I’m not going to insult your intelligence here! The title sounds “fancy” but the real point of this blog is to highlight a fact that most of you all have already noticed. And that is, the reviews from critics (gaming, movie etc) no longer aligns with the public’s reception, which begs the question, can they be trusted?
I made a video over at my YouTube channel talking about my annoyance with old people who are clearly out of touch with reality, blaming video games for the cause of a horrific mass shooting that took place in El Paso. I wanted to continue the discussion.
Cancel Culture, a term that is often thrown around without a second thought. It’s happened time and time again, and it all instances result in someone’s livelihood been destroyed justly or unjustly. When you ask someone about what they think of this phenomenon that is cancel culture, you’ll get a polarizing response. It’s not unanimous, and that’s the biggest problem with it. It gives this surreal amount of power to a mass of irresponsible flock, and it all starts with one Shepherd making the call.
The more I hear talks about the early reveal trailer for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie, they more I weep for not a single one of the early impressions sounded good at all.
