Put your tinfoil hat bois, cause Kojima has likely just teased something and the Silent Hills conspiracy theories are in full effect.
That was a question I began to ponder the more I thought about it. Death Stranding is a game about connectivity with others, it’s about building bridges and rebuilding civilization using strands, strands being the people you meet. Death Stranding’s social systems revolves around getting “Likes,” giving kudos to things created and left behind by other players to help you as you traverse the world. So what happens when that asynchronous online feature goes away in the near future?
Yep, you read the title right! And no, of course I’m not implying that if you don’t get or understand Kojima’s latest game, Death Stranding, it implies that you lack the mental capacity to comprehend the game. This however, is one of the many statements made about the game to justify or defend Death Stranding’s recent polarizing reviews that have come out.
After months of pondering on what the heck Death Stranding might be, we finally got some tiny bit of Intel that may have shed some light on what this game is going to be all about.
If there’s one game, one company, one man that can get away with surrounding their game project in surreal mystery and still get people excited for it, it’s Death Stranding! Kojima’s next mega title is probably the weirdest shit I’ve ever seen, and I don’t know what to make of it.
