I finally caught up with what was showcased at the State of Play and for me, the highlight had to be Final Fantasy 16! Knowing that the director for Final Fantasy 14 had his hands on FF16, I’ve been keeping my eye on this one and it has yet to disappoint.

We learned a lot from the Dominance trailer, which featured several new Eikons, as well as providing a more detailed peek at the action-packed battle system and the freedom it gives players. Many in the community already likened it to Devil May Cry, and I can see why. The combat is crazy and with all the abilities and options that the game provides, it has me all the more excited to play the game. A departure from the more classical turn-based game, yes, but a welcomed one in my books. Aside from that, we got more of an insight into the story, learning about the main character Clive Rosfield and all the other characters in the game. Yet, despite all that, the Titan fights are what really had me hyped beyond. I didn’t think I’d cared as much but seeing Shiva and Odin, Bahamut and Garuda, Ifrit and Phoenix in action sold me on the game fully.
Currently only confirmed for the PS5 and PC!
