Well, well well! Who would have seen this coming? Microsoft is acquiring Activision, publisher of Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, and Diablo. The deal will value Activision at $68.7 billion!
This is major news. I never would have foreseen Microsoft outright buying Activision but with how troubled Activision has been with its sexual harassment claims, and games sales the value of the company must have dropped to an extent where even Microsoft thought it was worth the purchase!

According to Microsoft,
“As a company, Microsoft is committed to our journey for inclusion in every aspect of gaming, among both employees and players,” says Microsoft’s CEO of gaming Phil Spencer. “We deeply value individual studio cultures. We also believe that creative success and autonomy go hand-in-hand with treating every person with dignity and respect. We hold all teams, and all leaders, to this commitment. We’re looking forward to extending our culture of proactive inclusion to the great teams across Activision Blizzard.”
This positions Microsft at an even great competitive level with Sony Playstation. Now, all we gotta do is wait to see how Microsoft will clean the filth that resides in Activision.
