Square Enix dropped a four-minute trailer of Forsaken and it looks kinda rough in some areas!
The four minutes of gameplay from the upcoming Square Enix adventure game Forspoken developed by Luminous Productions definitely showed some potential but that weird frame rate it was playing at was not great at all! The transition from the game to the menu was also slow and slightly cumbersome, to say the least. I was willing to look past the frame rate had I seen an early alpha tag somewhere in the video, but given the fact that this game is coming out in May 2022, I doubt much will change from what we saw! However, if there is one thing they could adjust, it’s the grunt the main protagonist makes on every step she takes. It’s essentially going a tad bit overboard.
Other than that, the gameplay looks pretty cool, and traversing the world looks to be fun so I’m hoping at the very least the game will be well optimized by the time it comes out.
