Yeah, I know I’m a bit late to the news but they released that trailer at midnight, so I’m only just seeing it now, and I have to say it shows a lot of promise!
For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange, I was surprised that he would be so willing to tamper with the forces of the universe. I guess the whole universe dying must have softened him up a bit. Anyways, seeing the multiverse all merging together with classic villains such as Electro, Green Goblin, and Doc Oct showing up was a treat as an old-school Spidey fan. Now, I’m not too sure if the other Spidermans will show up or not but if they do, their interaction will be legendary for sure.
However, there is this one thing I’ve noticed about the spiderman films from the MCU that I’m not fond of. That is that MCU Peter PARKER ALWAYS HAS A FATHER FIGURE MENTOR WITH HIM AT ALL TIMES, TO CARRY HIS MOVIE. I really hope that Strange’s role is kept to a minimum and Spidey faces off against the sinister six on his own. He has to stand up on his own two feet at this point. It was cool with IRONMAN but man, it’s time for Spider-man to put on his big boy pants. Maybe meeting the other spiderman will teach him that as the trailer hints at.
