Dungeons of Hinterberg is a game I’ve been following for a while, and I felt it’s time to update since there’s a lot more information out now and it’s a good refresher! Plus the last blog merely had my speculations, with little to no data about the game itself.
“Dungeons of Hinterberg” is a single-player mix of Action-RPG and Social Sim: Explore dungeons, solve puzzles, slay huge bosses – then have a Schnitzel with the locals and other slayers from around the globe. Build deep relationships that unlock special abilities, give you key items, or simply help you find your way through a daunting dungeon!
“A big tourism industry has sprung up around the Austrian village of Hinterberg and its magical dungeons full of monsters and Alpine mythical creatures.
Adventurers from all over the world come to complete the Dungeon Challenge, find epic loot, and hang out at Hinterberg’s famous après-slay bars.”
It’s looking really good and I’m personally excited to see a game based on my home country! Aside from the bias, I’m also intrigued by this world, it could be the arty style or whatever but I really interesting in exploring this world. Also, the “Social sim” aspect is interesting too. As a single-player game, the NPC will have to carry this game just as much at the game mechanics so I wonder what that’s going to be like.
Dungeons of Hinterberg will hit PCs and consoles sometime in the future!
