Usually, I try to avoid rumors on here but with the number of people and outlets reporting on it, it’s safe to say that this Nintendo Switch Pro might be real. And if this DLSS thing is also true, then this a major move on Nintendo’s part.

So, it’s been discussed that the upgraded version of the Nintendo Switch will be utilizing Nvidia’s DLSS hardware, which for those of you that don’t know, NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) is groundbreaking AI rendering technology that increases graphics performance using dedicated Tensor Core AI processors on GeForce RTX™ GPUs. DLSS taps into the power of a deep learning neural network to boost frame rates and generate beautiful, sharp images for your games.

This is amazing news for us as gamers, as now games like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 that once ran like a potato on the original Nintendo Switch hardware could benefit from the DLSS technology upgrade. The only problem I see with this news is the rumored price of $399 that the Nintendo Switch Pro is said to be priced at. With a 720p OLED screen, it’s hard to sell this product, despite the 4K upgrade. For me, I’ll be honest, I only ever play the Switch on handheld, and as much as I’d like a 1080p screen (which would have been a godsend), I’m content with a 720p screen so long as the DLSS does its work making the best of that tech!

Anyways, let me know what you guys think of this news?
