Disney held their #DisneyInvestorDay, where they announced all their plans for Disney Plus, and I have to say, they are packing value into that subscription.
Over the next few years, roughly 10 Marvel series, 10 Star Wars series, 15 Disney live-action, Disney Animation, and Pixar series, plus 15 all-new Disney live-action, Disney Animation, and Pixar features will be released directly on DisneyPlus. Here’s all they’ve announced:
Welcome to the Kingdom of Kumandra. Raya and the Last Dragon is coming to theaters and on #DisneyPlus with Premier Access on March 5, 2021. #DisneyRaya
In The Old Man, Academy Award and Golden Globe award winner @TheJeffBridges is a former CIA operative who is forced to reconcile with his past. Coming to #FXonHulu.
From creator Ryan Murphy (@MrRPMurphy) comes American Horror Stories, a new anthology series spin-off of American Horror Story. Coming to #FXonHulu.
Platform is an innovative scripted anthology from @bjnovak that uses the boldest issues of our times as a jumping off point to tell singular, character-driven stories about the world we live in today. Coming to #FXonHulu.
FX's Reservation Dogs is a new half-hour comedy series about four Native American teenagers growing up on a reservation in eastern Oklahoma. Currently in development from co-creators Sterlin Harjo and Academy Award winner @TaikaWaititi.
Y: The Last Man is a new @FXNetworks drama series based on the acclaimed comic book series of the same name written by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra. Starring Diane Lane and coming exclusively to #FXonHulu.
Alien is currently in development at @FXNetworks. The first TV series based on the classic film series is helmed by Fargo and Legion's @noahhawley. Expect a scary thrill ride set not too far in the future here on Earth.
Lastly, FX is developing a retelling of James Clavell's saga Shōgun. @Justin_Marks_ and Rachel Kondo are adapting the epic with award-winning producer Tim Van Patten.

Rangers of the New Republic, a new Original Series set within the timeline of @themandalorian, is coming to @disneyplus.
Ahsoka, a new Original Series, starring @rosariodawson and set within the timeline of @themandalorian, is coming to @disneyplus.
Star Wars: Visions, an Original Series of animated short films, celebrates the @starwars galaxy through the lens of the world’s best Japanese anime creators. Coming in 2021 to @disneyplus.
The galaxy’s favorite scoundrel, Lando Calrissian, will return in Lando, a brand-new event series for @disneyplus. Justin Simien (@JSim07) is in the early stages of developing the project.
Leslye Headland brings a new @starwars series to @disneyplus with The Acolyte. “The Acolyte” is a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era.
Lucasfilm Animation is teaming up with Lucasfilm’s visual effects team, Industrial Light & Magic, to develop a special @starwars adventure for @disneyplus, A Droid Story. This epic journey will introduce us to a new hero guided by R2-D2 and C-3PO.
Willow, an Original Series from Lucasfilm starring Warwick Davis, with pilot directed by @jonmchu, is coming in 2022 to @disneyplus.
Lucasfilm is in pre-production on the next installment of Indiana Jones. At the helm is James @mang0ld, director of Ford v Ferrari, and Indy himself, Harrison Ford, will be back to continue his iconic character’s journey. Adventure arrives July 2022.
Tomi Adeyemi’s New York Times bestselling novel Children of Blood & Bone is being developed by Lucasfilm in partnership with 20th Century Studios. This coming-of-age adventure follows a young African girl’s quest to restore magic to her forsaken people, the Maji.
