I have to say, I am quite disappointed with how so many game journalists have chosen to use their platform to try and convince their audience to not pick up Hogwarts Legacy, simply because they themselves do not agree with J.K. Rowling personal opinion. Not only are you punishing the team behind the game, but it’s also wrong in so many ways!
Look, I understand that many people do not agree with the opinions of J.K. Rowling, however, like any other human being on the face of this planet, she has every right to express her opinions. I have seen what she has said, and nothing stands out as bad or downright foul! To paint her as a villain for sharing their thoughts on the LGBTQ+ is honestly beyond evil in my eyes and really highlights the problem we face today!
The fact that Polygon and other outlets are trying to tell people not to buy a game that a team has worked so hard on it ridiculous, especially for the topic at hand. No crimes were caused, no one was hurt, all she said was that she’s concerned about women being replaced and the internet lost their mind!

I’m all for standing by your principle and morals, but it has to somewhat make sense! I mean, if this was about Mulan, who used concentration camps as backdrops for their movies, then I would have understood, but this one is beyond wild! Hogwarts Legacy looks phenomenal, to skip a game like this because of a tweet by J.K. Rowling asking a question, not only hurts the people who worked hard to build a world for fans to explore but it really doesn’t hurt J.K Rowling anyways!
Had J.K. Rowling called for the deaths of Trans, then yeah I would fully understand, but common sense shows that what she said not only wasn’t bad but well within her rights to express those opinions! I don’t know, I feel like this whole thing is crazy and ridiculous but hey, they have every right to make these articles, just as I have the right to question it!
