We’ve seen the crazy Black Mirror episodes, the years of cinematic movies foretelling the day humans would implant a chip in their minds to be able to take the next step in human evolution, well now that day has come! Neuralink, Elon Musk’s latest project is bringing that sci-fi idea into reality!

Neuralink Corporation is an American neurotechnology company founded by Elon Musk and others, developing implantable brain-machine interfaces. On Friday, Musk unveiled the latest version of Neuralink, which is the size of a coin and can be inserted on top of your skull, while delivering brain recordings to a computer in real-time! It’s pretty impressive. Now, I know we’re quick to shun something like this, a device that can read our minds, that’s a great way to forfeit your privacy, and who knows whether it could even influence our thoughts. For as powerful as the human brain might be, it’s rather suspectable to manipulation. That in of itself is an ethical discussion worth having!

You expect me to trust that Elon won’t sell my thought to the highest advertising business? Let’s not be naive here! That’s a very high possibility! Still, the implication to help those less fortunate with brain or spinal damage is promising, and the promise to cure blindness is enough to see where this project will go in the future!

SIDE NOTE: My debut light novel Red Rapture: Born Blessed To Walk A Cursed Reality! preorder page has gone up! If you’re into things like Fullmetal Alchemist, HunterXHunter, or Naruto then this light novel is right up your alley! You can pre-order it now on Amazon Kindle, and if you do please leave a review when it comes out!!!!
