There’s been so much news coming from DC Fandome, but the big one for me was the fact that Static Shock would FINALLY get his movie.
See, this excites me and worries me at the same time. I mean, aside from Peter Parker, Virgil Hawkins has been one of those characters that have been written so well that his story transcends time! If you asked me, had Milestone and DC not had that legal dispute, Static Shock could have been what Spider-Man is to Marvel in a sense! That’s how amazing of a character he is! Now that he’s been made into a movie, I’m worried that they’ll try to “modernize” him to such a degree that he won’t be himself!
I really pray he gets the respect and high quality he deserves! If done right, this could resurge him to his rightful place in popularity! I don’t know if you can tell, but I’m a big fan of this character and the show!
