Project BBQ is a new anime online action roleplaying game made by Action Studio, an internal team at Neople with Unreal Engine 4. It looks amazing so I wanted put a spotlight on this upcoming MMORPG!
Based loosely on Dungeon Fighter Online, also known as DFO, a multiplayer PC beat ’em up video game developed and published by Neople, Project BBQ will have elements from the lore of the beloved Dungeon Fighter Online IP. It’s true that Neople are under NEXON, which who’s played an MMO in the past would have heard some unsavorily opinion about this company. Luckily, this game is somewhat being self handled by Neople, who already have good a track record when it comes to how they handled DFO game.
There’s not much information about Project BBQ, aside from the confirmed seven to eight character classes that are planned to be available in the final game. ProjectBBQ is said to be a mix of open world maps and instanced dungeon content. I don’t know that will include some form of character creation but hopefully that’s the case. In terms of when this game will be released, we have no idea! It’s been in development for years now with no release date in sight.
Aside from the lack of information we have right now, all I can say is that the game looks fantastic. I really like the anime art-style of the game and with Unreal Engine 4, the overall presentation looks phenomenal. The combat is the really reason I paid attention to the game. I’m really hoping there’s some form of PVP added to BBQ. Anyways, check out the game below and let me know what you guys think.
