Ever since its initial reveal at the E3 2018, Babylon’s Fall, a game by Square Enix and Platinum Games, the game has fallen out of radar completely. Most people have forgotten about the game, including yours truly, however, that’s changing as an interview with Yosuke Saito from Gematsu reveals that there will be news by the end of this year.
According to Gematsu:
Asked by the interviewer whether Saito will follow through on releasing new information about Babylon’s Fall in 2019, Saito responded, “Yes, we’ll be doing that.”
That’s it, that’s the quote! Eh, truth be told I could have just tweeted it out but just in case there’s someone out here you may have missed the game’s initial reveal, here’s a brief summary:
BABYLON’S FALL, an original title from Square Enix and PlatinumGames, at Square Enix’s E3 Showcase in 2018.
This all-new title, described by studio head Atsushi Inaba as “a new challenge for PlatinumGames,” is coming to PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam in 2019!
I could be wrong about the multiplayer part, but I really hope that they add a character creation of some kind. As for how the combat will work, judging again the trailer, it seems our main character will have the ability to take the limbs and weapons of enemies and used them to his/her advantage. That would really with in line with how Platinum Games make their game mechanics.
Overall, what do you think we will find out at the end of the year?
