So, here’s something that no one was expecting to see in the anime, a time travel arc in which Boruto travels back in time to meet PTS Naruto. Yep, that’s a thing now, and I’m surprisingly hyped for it.

Still, I’ll keep it 100 with you all, I don’t watch the Boruto anime. It’s quite honestly boring for me so I’ve been sticking with the manga thus far. However, I might pop in to see this new arc that’s starting in October. It would be cool to see Naruto and Boruto interact when they’re around the same age. Yeah, it’s filler but at this point, are you even surprised?

According to Crunchyroll:

TV Tokyo announced today that the ongoing TV anime BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS will enter a new story arc from this October, featuring an encounter between the current protagonist Boruto Uzumaki and his father Naruto in his childhood. This is part of the 20th anniversary project for Masashi Kishimoto’s original Naruto manga that started serialization in 1999.

Currently no further details about the new arc’s story are available, but the Naruto in the visual looks around 12 to 13 years old, close to his age when the original Naruto story began. And of course, his original voice cast Junko Takeuchi is confirmed to play her iconic character in his childhood again.
