Sanemi Shinazugawa just became the most hated character in the eyes of the Nezuko stans. Well, that’s what I think anyways. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Episode 22 finally introduced us to the top dogs of the Demon Slayer Corp, the Hashira!

The majority of the episode mainly focused on giving us an idea of the varies personalities that composes the Hashiras. Aside from the mix personalities and dope designs, they all share a massive distaste in demons, so when they learned about Tanjiro and Nezuko, they wanted to behead him right there and then, some more flamboyant than others. As it turns out, the master, who these Hashiras revere with the utmost respect, knew about Tanjiro and still let him be. Sankonji and Giyu both vowed to take their lives if Nezuko ever took a human life. Which presented a sort of dynamic! In order for the Master to change his mind, the Hashiras will have to prove their conviction in that Nezuko is indeed a threat. Quite the gamble that they took, which has paid off over the two years.

Sanemi, still unsatisfied, decided to take it to the next level and tried to prove that Nezuko was just like other demons and began to stab and pour his blood on Nezuko to get her to attack him. That’s where the episode ends, on another cliffhanger. What I’m hoping to see is Nezuko tear a piece of a clothing to wrap it around Sanemi’s wound and pat him on the head. That is something I want to see, to see how everyone will react to that. The only other thing that would cause Nezuko to go wild is if this Sanemi has some type of Demon scent that might confuse Nezuko. Then again, if that’s the case Tanjiro would’ve have picked it up.

Overall, it was a good episode for the most part.
