So it turns out that Glass, like L’arc, is also a hero from other world. Naofumi barely fights off their combo attacks and then corners Glass in a one-on-one battle, but is then faced with an all-important question: does he truly wish to protect this world?

The fight with Glass was very interesting as it posed a lot of moral questions that we kinda of ignored throughout the series. With all the fighting that he has being doing, he never stopped to ask whether he’s fighting for himself, the team or for this world that once shunned him. This ultimately led to him contemplating his place in this world, and whether he really wants to go back.

The ending of this season was satisfying in my opinion. Seeing Naofumi finally committed to helping this world, hooking up with Rapthalia and basically starting a whole new life was great to see. He even acquired a domain, so now he has a HQ to operate from, with it he plans on recruiting members to fight the waves.

If there is a second season, I’d like to see it. There’s so much to learn from this world and what that waves really are all about. Also, as a gamer, I can’t get enough of the MMO vibe from this anime. And the fight between worlds, which is actually servers fighting each other is a whole concepts that I haven’t seen yet in an anime.

I mean, who’s really wrong here, since both worlds are fighting for the their future. Overall, I can say that I happy with how this season concluded. Yeah, I bet that in the manga, it goes into a lot more in-depth but from what I can tell, it paced out well.
