This is absolutely insane! To think that now, journalist are attacking YouTubers and fans for getting excited for CyberPunk 2077 at such an aggressive level, really highlights their intent to force their agenda down everyone’s throat. Even if it’s under a good intention.

From calling the game racist, sexiest & transphobic, calling gamers and YouTubers who provide fair criticism Gamergate keepers, to even disregarding Mike Pondsmith’s input into the game, these journalist have done it all without a shred of context to back them up. Heck, they’ve even said that context doesn’t even matter, so it’s clear that these journalist’s main intent is it ensure that their agenda is met and enforced. This creates an odd dialogue where one side is doing all this with good intention but poor execution, while the rest who criticize their stance with good intention are left looking anti-diversity.

In the end, I personally feel that the attack from journalist on CyberPunk 2077, and to an extent, on gamers who have defended the game, is unjust, malicious and an abuse of their power and influence that they hold. It almost comes across as petty to some degree. The way that these journalist have conducted themselves when it comes to writing these hit pieces makes you wonder just what exactly are their intent. CyberPunk 2077 hasn’t even come out yet, we haven’t seen more that 15% of the game, so one would think that it’s common sense to see how the game plays BEFORE shoving fake righteousness down people’s throat.

However, the worst offender of them all is the attempt to FORCE the creators of CyberPunk 2077 to change, alter or outright remove parts of the game’s narrative from the game, as it “offends” them. If not them, then they have taken it upon themselves to get offended for the minorities in question. Nothing shown yet as indicated inherent, blatant or undeniable attempt to be discriminating or racist.

If these hit pieces aren’t the definition of abuse of power, then I don’t know what is. The reviews for this game will be very interesting to see from all the outlets who’ve slandered the game without seeing the full product. You can’t blame anyone in the public if the become suspect the score CyberPunk 2077 will receive.
