Samurai Shodown, is a game that I haven’t been talking about much in the past. I mean it looked cool but I just didn’t pay much attention to it, until now!Faithfully reproducing the game mechanics and atmosphere that contributed to the success of the series, Samurai Shodown includes a revolutionary feature that learns players’ game actions and patterns in order to create CPU-controlled “ghost” characters. That is what drew my attention. OK, this type of mechanic isn’t really new, racing games have done this in the past, but in a fighting game that a different story. I’m very interested to seeing how this works in practice and if this could yield new ways to train in a fighting game.

To be able to basically fight your own shadow and the shadows of a lot of players is pretty interesting and a move I wasn’t expecting from this game. The game launches June 25 on PS4, and Xbox One, with development for Nintendo Switch, and PC, later this year.
