BlackFox, an anime about ninjas in modern day Japan now has a premiere estimate, which is this fall 2019. I remember talking about this anime way back last year so I’m glad to see that it hasn’t been forgotten. It still looks dope.
Here’s the synopsis for the BlackFox:
Living in a ninja residence tucked away in a corner of a futuristic city is Rikka, the eldest daughter of a Ninja clan, who looks up to her father –a researcher–very much. Carrying on with her life normally, Rikka’s home came suddenly under attack one day. Driven into a corner, what would she do to overcome this crisis? Rip darkness to pieces and become “BLACK”!
We got more content to look at this time around, with voice acting and a premise as to what’s going on in this anime. Judging from what’s going on in the trailer, one can guess that Rikka is an average day kid, living her life while her day is a respected researcher at a top tech firm. The other researcher that we see in the trailer must have gotten jealous of Rikka’s dad research, killed him and now Rikka is on a quest to avenge his father while working for a secret organization that his dad was probably a part of. Sounds familiar huh? Ezio’s got some fans out here.
I’m still not sure what those robotics animals will do in this anime, are they the source of her powers? Maybe she taps into them to gain their traits or something. Either way, BlackFox looks just as dope as it did when I first saw it so I’m hyped to see what this anime will bring to the table.
