Well, this wasn’t something I expect to hear from Nintendo but it’s one many of us kinda saw coming when it came to Metroid  Prime 4 on the Nintendo Switch. Shinya Takahashi, Senior Managing Executive Officer, came on screen to give us a development update on Metroid Prime 4 for Nintendo Switch. Safe to say it’s not what fans wanted to heat, but I on the other hand understand where they’re coming from.

So it appears that the development for Metroid Prime was wasn’t going according to plan and so they decided to literally hit that restart button and try again. They had Producer Kensuke Tanabe relocate to Retro Studios in the United States to begin on this to development team. Well, at least they’re honest and kept us up to date.

I know that some people, especially the hardcore fans of the series who’ve been asking for this for such a long time will be massively disappointed to hear about this but this not all that bad. Think of it this way, would rather have a delayed but ultimately better game or a Sonic 06? I’m sure we both know the answer to this question.
