So one of my goals for 2019 is to start talking more about some of the great techs we see pop up from time to time. Now, it would be easy for me to just talk about any and all tech, but I decided to start out small and focus on gaming tech and move up slowly with other techs that I find amazing, intriguing or just straight up wack. Today, with CES 2019 now in full swing, I wanna start out by talking about the Asus ROG Mothership, which is been described as the Surface Pro for gamers.

Asus’s ROG Mothership is a 17-inch gaming laptop that’s built like a Microsoft Surface. The exquisitely machined aluminum chassis frames an ultra-fast 144Hz/3ms G-Sync display powered by the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 2080 graphic card and Intel® Core™ i9 processor. Essentially, it’s probably one of the most powerful dedicated portable gaming desktop that you’ll be able to find on the market.

Now, they’re calling this the “surface pro of gaming” when the screen isn’t even a touchscreen. Aside from that nickpick, everything else looks pretty cool. It’s really is impressive how fast technology is evolving to the point of us now getting things like the Asus’s ROG Mothership. Personally though, I wouldn’t buy a portable desktop like the Asus’s ROG Mothership, simply because I don’t need one, and it’ll probably cost you a fortune and I’m on a path of saving money.
You can find the specs of the Asus’s ROG Mothership below if you’re interested in learning more about it.
