If you’re a fan of manga and want a safe place to go to consume as much manga as humanly and weabooly possible, Shonen Jump seems to have a solution that I think is actually pretty damm awesome.

Hisashi Sasaki came on a Shone Jump video to talk about a new revised membership that will encourage people to pay $1.99 a month to get new manga as they drop in Japan, fully translated in English.

The next stage of evolution for Shonen Jump happens on December 17, 2018! Your favorite series will now be released FREE and simultaneous with Japan as individual chapters!

After this change, your paid Shonen Jump membership will unlock the Shonen Jump digital vault of more than 10,000 chapters! Nearly every Shonen Jump series will be available!

Because your continued support is important to us, all current paid annual Weekly Shonen Jump memberships will be automatically converted to the new Shonen Jump membership, and members will get an additional 3 MONTHS FREE.

I’m not going to sit here and try to guilt-trip you into signing up for a service out of moral sense, but for $1.99 a month to read almost all the manga you want sounds like a fair deal to me.
