There’s no way any of us saw this one coming. Joker from Persona 5 joins the ever expanding world of Super Smash Bros Ultimate with a classy Game Awards trailer.
The Persona games are a spinoff of the popular Shin Megami Tensei franchise, which has a long and storied history in the world of video games – with many of the games appearing on Nintendo systems. Sporting an iconic mask and a variety of weapons, Joker is the main character of Persona 5, a beloved game that won Best Role-Playing Game and was nominated for Game of the Year at last year’s The Game Awards.
He was literally the last person I expected to see in Smash, but then again, when you think about it, we should’ve have known. Sakurai did model some of Ultimate aesthetics after Persona 5, so it already a given. Now that Joker is in the game, I’m more that confident that 2B from Nier: Automata will be added to the game. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Noctis from Final Fantasy 15 make the rounds. Anyways let me know what you guys think
