I remember when Pokemon Let’s Go was first unveiled to the world, Masuda specifically stated that the Let’s GO games were core games to the series. The fans however couldn’t accept that truth and instead convinced themselves that it was a spin-off to the Pokemon games. Well, Masuda stresses once again for the nay-sayers out there that Lets Go is NOT a spin-off, and is in fact a core game. You only have yourself to blame guys.

According to Nintendo Everything, Masuda states:

“These games aren’t spin-offs. These are core Pokemon titles. As for whether we would make other games that could connect to Pokemon GO, that will depend on how the games are received. If we hear a lot of people saying that they enjoyed being able to bring Pokemon to these games from Pokemon GO, then we’ll think about maybe having future titles also be able to connect to it.”

So there you have it. You know what this means right? There’s a good chance now that Nintendo has seen the overwhelming positive reception for the Lets Go, Gen 8 will most likely have elements from the Lets Go games. What elements they’ll choose is up for debate. What I found funny is how the fans straight up ignored the truth about the Lets Go games. Masuda made it very clear when the game was first revealed to us at E3, yet people refused to believe it.

I really hope they don’t try and make the future Pokemon games any easier that it already is at the moment. I personally did not purchase Lets Go because of how easy and dumb down it looked.

Let me know what you guys think.
