Raise your hand if you want to see a knight go slaying some damm goblins mercilessly? Wait, really? You’re not interested? You rather see big anime tiddies? Well too freaking bad, cause I still want to talk about this gruesome anime that got a preview released a few days ago called Goblin Slayer. Oh and there’s big anime tiddies too! Yeah, I thought that might change your mind.

So this is the gist of this anime so far:

A young priestess has formed her first adventuring party, but almost immediately they find themselves in distress. It’s the Goblin Slayer who comes to their rescue–a man who’s dedicated his life to the extermination of all goblins, by any means necessary. And when rumors of his feats begin to circulate, there’s no telling who might come calling next…

Yeah, I know I’m massively late on the buzz of this anime’s reveal but cut me some slack. There’s thousands of anime out there, with new one’s coming out everyone single day, it’s impossible for one man to keep up with them all. So you can imagine that I’m glad that I caught wind of this one in particular.

The plot sounds pretty interesting. In a world of fantasy, adventurers come far and wide to join the Guild, in order to complete contracts for whatever jobs are available. An inexperienced priestess joins her first adventuring party, but comes into danger after her first adventurer contract involving goblins goes wrong. After the rest of her party is wiped out, she is saved by a man known as Goblin Slayer, an adventurer whose only purpose is the eradication of goblins with extreme prejudice. That last part was the selling point for me. And judging from the trailer that was revealed, we are in for one heck of a journey.

The animation looks grusome too so that a plus for me. Don’t get me wrong here, I like some of anime that we’ve been getting but a majority of them feel the same. This one’s got its on vibe to it so I’m intrigued.

I took a quick peek of some of the manga panels and I’m hoping the anime captures just 50% of the madness that I had witnessed.
