As battle breaks out in Attack On Titan Season 3 Episode 7 to prevent the ritual, Rod continues to pester Historia into becoming a titan. The stakes are high and time is running out.

We learned even more about the Reiss family and their supposed “duty” to humanity. I knew that Rod was full of shit but at the same time I couldn’t help but feel like there’s some truth to his words. I mean if the Reiss family really did eat each other to pass down the “Eye of Omnipotence” then like Historia said, why didn’t they just wipe out the Titans in the span of 100 years they’ve had those powers?

Even more, where did this power even come from from in the first place? I’m trying to wrap my head around that idea. Anyways, what’s clear to me now is that there’s definitely mind manipulation in the Reiss family.

Their mindset have been warped to believe that they’re doing this for the sake of humanity, as demonstrated by Rod as he pathetically licked the serum that instantly turns him into a titan.

Meanwhile, the scouts basically slaughtered all of the opposing team, utilizing their weaknesses to their advantage. Eren on the other hand, clearly broken, realized that because of him, despite it not being his fault, has caused the deaths of many of his allies and friends. This has led him to given up. Luckily, Historia bad-ass DLC finished downloading and went full savage mode. I was so happy when I saw her slap that serum off of her Dad’s hand and gave that epic speech about hating humanity.

Overall, I will admit the pacing did feel like it dragged on for  quite a bit, but that’s only because I wanted to see what Historia would do and who was gonna turn into a Titan to try and eat Eren.
