Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 25: The Kawaki Arc Discussion

So what many of us have speculated has finally been confirmed. The more I look at Kawaki and what we’ve learned from him, the more the likelihood of him killing Naruto seems more plausible.

This chapter of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations was interesting to say the least. It gave us a good look at the potential of the Karma seal and how it connects Kawaki and Boruto. However the most interesting part of the manga is learning about Kawaki’s true nature. As it turns out, Kawaki has being modified with inorganic material. In a sense, he’s a cyborg. A ninja cyborg.

This opens up a number of questions as to how he ended up like that. Did Kara do this to him? What exactly is their end goal with Kawaki? And also, how did Kawaki come across the Karma seal in the first place? We know that Boruto obtained his Karma seal by killing “a god” aka an Otsutsuki member, but could the same thing also be the case for Kawaki?2ca11ac538403e1008b481d195ea92f6e8a10985_169078_870_1236I know I’m asking a lot of questions here but honestly this manga chapter raised a lot more questions than answer and now has me hyped up for whats to come. At the start of the blog, I mentioned how learning the true nature of Kawaki has given more grounds to the whole Naruto is dead talk, something many of us aren’t too thrilled about but now, the more I think about it, the more I can see that actually happening.

We don’t know just how powerful Kawaki really is, the extent of his body modifications and the limits of the Karma seal. All we know his that Kawaki the type that pulls no punches when he fights. When it’s time, Kawaki will kill without hesitation. That’s something to take into consideration.

Take Mitsuki for an example. As an synthetic human being, he’s shown to be extremely more powerful than some of the jonin level shinobis. Only time will tell how strong Mitsuki will become in the future. Anyways, let me know what you guys think in the comments below.
