Yo, don’t hate me. How was I supposed to write this blog without pulling off a cringey pun title like that. It was begging to be made. Anyways, Fahrenheit 451 actually looks pretty interesting so I thought I’d share my thoughts on this new
HBO has debuted the official trailer for “Fahrenheit 451,” and it does an effective job at laying out the film’s narrative. Fahrenheit is actually based on a award-winning book of the same name. The synopsis is as follows:
Fahrenheit 451 is a dystopian novel by American writer Ray Bradbury, published in 1953. It is regarded as one of his best works. The novel presents a future American society where books are outlawed and “firemen” burn any that are found.
In the HBO version, Jordan plays a young fireman named Montag who is tasked with burning books in a dystopian future where all literature is outlawed. That sound wild. I mean to outlaw book may sound ridicules for a premise in a movie but the more I think about it, they more I feel like there’s more to it that just scorching down a millions of books. The trailer looked pretty interesting and I’m sure Michael B. Jordan is going to perform amazingly in this film so it’s already worth the watch.
Also, it’s pretty cool to see a fellow content creator in this series. I’m talking about Lilly Singh aka IISuperwomanII. It was only for a split second but she’s there as a news reporter.
Fahrenheit 451” airs May 11 on HBO. Watch the official trailer below.
