Monster Hunter World Is A Game That Everyone Should Try Out!

As you know, the open beta for Monster Hunter World just went live over the weekend for anyone who has PS+ subscription and so I decided to try it out for myself, and to my surprise, I quite enjoyed my time with the game.

In Monster Hunter: World, the latest installment in the series, you can enjoy the ultimate hunting experience, using everything at your disposal to hunt monsters in a new world teeming with surprises and excitement.

Now I’ve played a couple of Monster Hunter games in the past, but not to the extent that you’d expect. At most, I’ve only been able to accumulate a total playtime of two hours in both Monster Hunter: Frontier G and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate combined. So I wouldn’t count myself as a huge fan of the series. However, when Capcom first showed us the gameplay trailer for MH World, I thought it was time for me to give this series one last attempt.

Frankly, I’m glad that I did. I never expected to enjoy the game as much as I did but it was incredibly fun. The graphics are astonishing and really does a grand job in creating a vibrant and surreal world, which gets me even more exited for the PC version of the game. The gameplay itself was great for the most part. It did take me a while to get accustomed to the combat mechanics, but after a few minutes into the game, I grew accustom to them.

Hunting down monsters was fun too! At first, I just mindlessly attacked the beast the moment I laid my eyes on it and for the first mission that was fine, but come to the later stages, it became apparently clear that I needed to make use of the option given to me in order to be successful. One of my favorite moments in Monster Hunter World came from Mission 3. Myself and three other randoms were chasing down our target through the dense jungle and we were quite struggling to take it down.

Just when all hope seems lost, another massive Monster surfaces out of nowhere and in that split second, I thought we were screwed, only to find out it attacked our target instead. Moments like these made the hunt 10x more epic and just demonstrates the dynamics in this game. You can also make use of your surrounding too which I haven’t personally tried myself but have seen it in action.

The weapons in the game are extremely fun to use, each with the own unique quirk and combos to help you become the ultimate hunter. I can’t speak much on the customization as the beta gave us presents but from what I’ve seen, its quite deep.

Overall, all I gotta say is, if you’ve never played any MH or have in the past but couldn’t get into it, I highly recommend to at least give the beta a try if you have a PS+, you won’t regret it. Now I’m planning on picking up the game for PC after playing the beta and that’s saying a lot for me personally.
