So I’ve played a bunch of mobile games in my time and the way I judge a mobile game’s entertainment value varies from game to game, but ultimately it always ends up returning to one simple question, do I have to pay to fully enjoy the game? Now there’s nothing wrong in putting money in a mobile game, especially if you enjoy the heck outta it and want to show your support towards the devs who made the game, but for me if I have to spend money to enjoy a mobile then its no fun for me.

Now this list is my own personal opinion of gacha games I feel have done a great job in providing a level of fun and entertainment without leaving you with a feeling like your missing out if you don’t spend some dollars.

Before we get started, let me give you a brief explanation on what a gacha game actually is. The term gacha, is a monetization model for video games. In the model, the game displays multiple items for players to randomly draw for a price, similar to the Gashapon (or “gacha”) vending machine. So yeah, that’s pretty much it. Now that you know what it is, let’s get right into the list.

5. Pokemon Duel

Now while my time with this game was short, I did have great time with it and the gameplay was surprisingly fun. Pokémon Duel is a free-to-play digital board game developed by Heroz and published by The Pokémon Company. In the game you’re able to collect and build your own deck from a large range of figures and use those figures to battle online with other players.

It’s surprisingly tactical and requires you to play strategically and out smart your opponents. The game made it relatively easy to collect and earn gems in the game, rewarding you for daily logins, opening chest, completing missions, playing the story mode and online. Never once felt the urge to pay so I could do better.

4. Spider-Man Unlimited

Yeah, I know there are many like this out there, but unlike those free runners, Spider-Man Unlimited brings a little more to the table. This game is the first runner game in its kind with an actual narrative and a plot. It has a great mix of gameplay that’ll definitely keep you entertained and the story is actually quite good.

It has daily and weekly events and a leader-board in Unlimited Mode. You can earn the currency in the game quite easily enough to which you can use to summon, collect and play as tons of Spider-Men and Spider-Women featured throughout the Marvel Universe. This is a great game to pass the time if you’re on a long journey. If you’re huge spiderman fan and want a way to learn about all the different spideys in the universe, this is a great game for it.

3. NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja Blazing

Initially, I didn’t like the game when I first played it but after setting aside some time to really try it out, I came to enjoy my time with the game. NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja Blazing is a fighting RPG game featuring the all-new Shinobi Formation Battle system: a strategic RPG fighting system in which positioning your units is key to success. With it’s recent update, and the inclusion of PvP, this gacha game has a lot to offer in terms to fun and entertainment. You’ll really enjoy the game if you’re a fan of the series too. The game, abide at times grindy, offers a multitude of ways to earn ninja pearls which you can use to summon more units to your arsenal.

2. Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links

Although this game came second on the list, there is no denying that its the one I play the most out this list. Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links is a free-to-play, virtual trading card game developed by Konami for iOS and Android devices. If you’re a fan of the series and the games then you’ll feel right at home.

Essential the core idea is to duel against friends and Duelists around the world in real-time. In addition, you can duel against Decks used by previous opponents for practice or watch replays of other Duelists facing each other. The game does a great job in giving you multiple ways to earn gems for card pulls and even gives you gems when new packs and boosters arrive to the game during events. The gameplay is fast and fun and its perfect for passing time.

1. Bleach Brave Souls

This game may not be the most popular of the anime gacha games right now but its amazing how friendly this game is for F2P players.

Bleach: Brave Souls is hack-and-slash game that allows up to three players to play together and features characters from the popular animated series. Its also without a doubt graphically impressive of the bunch. The game has three modes, Story Mode, Battle Mode and Co-Op Mode and in all three of those modes you earn gems that you’ll use to summon more characters.

I personally feel out of all the gacha games that I’ve mentioned in this list, this gacha game is the one that rewards you the most. From daily logins, ranking in PvP, completing the story campaign, maxing out characters, literally almost every thing you do rewards you with gems which you can use to summon again. Not to mention that the gameplay is quite fun and cool to look at.

So there you have it, my list of the top five gacha mobile game I’ve personally enjoy. Do you agree with the list? Do you disagree? Let me know your list of gacha games you feel is friendly to players in the comments below.
