Attack on Titan Season 2 Episode 32 – Close Combat Review
BRUH, this episode, I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing Attack on Titan Season 2 Episode 32 was, it’s….
Greatness! That’s how I would describe this episode in one word. That scene when all the scouts charged in at the colossal titan was beautifully animated, every scene emphasized the intensity of the situation. Of course the colossal Titan had his own tricks up his sleeves, using intense steam to prevent the scouts to approach them. That scene though was epic, seeing each scout give their thoughts as they approached the titan was crazy. Now lets talk about the main substance of the episode.
The fight between Eren and Reiner was pretty damm awesome. At first Reiner had the upper hand when in came to a slugfest, bodying Eren at every corner. It was at that moment that Eren started having flashbacks of his time with Reiner and Bertholdt. At first I wasn’t to keen on those flashbacks, but eventually it helped create a sense of weight behind Reiner’s betrayal.
Also can we talk about Mikasa? Why is she such a beast? We saw that she challenged Anna to a 1 on 1 fight and I’ve never knew I wanted such fight until today. Even while Eren was dealing with Reiner, she never hesitated for a minute and charged right into the frey. I’m telling you if Mikasa was a titan, she’d be overpowered in every way.
Anyways, after having those flashbacks Eren realizes that going toe to toe with Reiner was impossible and went with the joint locks techniques and was eventually able to harm Reiner, given Mikasa the opportunity to immobilize him. However things the and unexpected twist when Reiner calls for Bertholdt to basically body slams both of them, ending the episode on a damm cliffhanger.
Overall I have to say this Attack on Titan Season 2 Episode 32 was the hypest yet in this season hands down in my opinion and I can’t wait to see what “The Hunter” has in store for us in the next episode.
