Overwatch Animated Shorts Are Coming to A Theater Near You

It’s hype time as the creators of Overwatch are bringing all their short animation to the big screens for their launch celebration…

Overwatch recently released a 2 minute trailer showing off some the new animation that’s on the horizon. We got to see a glimpse at Solider 76, Genji vs Hanzo, Reinhardt and my waifu D.va in action and all of these animated shorts will be presented to the fans at your local cinema or theater.

According to Overwatch:

Coke® eSports and Blizzard Entertainment are teaming up with ODEON to give you a chance to enjoy the stories of Winston, Widowmaker, and other ‘Overwatch’™ heroes in a whole new way.

To celebrate the game’s launch, ‘Overwatch’ animated shorts will be showing for one night only on the 23rd of May. An exclusive developer panel will also be shown, giving you a behind-the-scenes look at the heroes and lore of the ‘Overwatch’ universe.

This one-of-a-kind viewing experience will be the best way for you and your friends to come together to celebrate the launch of Blizzard’s shooter. Even better – every participant will receive limited edition swags. Don’t miss your chance to see ‘Overwatch’ in full, big-screen glory!

I don’t know about you but I’m extremely excited to see these new animation skits as they have been amazing thus far. Now the only question is, will this be a full-length movie, delving deeper into the lore of Overwatch or just a compilation of shorts, either way we’ll just have to wait for more info to be released.
