This year’s Sony’s Press Conferences at the Paris Games Weeks wasn’t too bad in all honestly…

I’m not going to go into too much detail on the conference itself, rather instead I wanna talk about the insane amount of emphasis on VR Gaming. Sony is pushing VR gaming for 2016 and the line up that they plan to deliver looks really promising. Lets start with Robinson: The Journey for example since its the one that stood out to me.

If the final game products looks anything like the Paris Game trailer that was shown at the conference then OMG, this is something I would definitely buy a VR headset for just to play the game. In Robinson, you assume the role of a young boy who has crash-landed on a mysterious planet, and must become pioneer of sorts as you explore your surroundings, interact with the world around you, and discover amazing secrets at every turn.

The game runs on the latest CryEngine and it looks absolutely amazing and honestly its the most impressive VR game I have seen to date (feel free to prove me wrong), but it makes me wonder, will people jump on board the VR hype train? It all looks nice and all on paper but will these developers be able to deliver what they promise and really change the gaming scene or is this just another phase that will be quickly forget,  guess only time will tell.

We also saw that the next Grand Turismo will also have VR included. I’m not a huge fan of realistic driving games but I’m sure the driving fanatics are busting with excitement.

Heck even Tekken 7 will have VR implemented in the game and that’s something I would like to see for myself. There’s even a game called RIGS Mechanzied Combat League that’s seems to be pushing itself to enter into e-sports and competitive gaming scenes. Is this the next level of gaming?

I can’t wait to see what future for gaming holds for us, this is something every gamer has dreamt about and now its almost becoming a reality.

Let me know your thoughts. Here is the entire press conference for your viewing pleasure.
