Well this anime is interesting to say the least…

I’ll admit, I had absolutely no interest in this anime whatsoever and initially didn’t even plan on watching it either, but after SOOO many people kept talking about it, I had to at the very least watch the first three episodes that were live at the time and see for myself as to why everyone was so hyped up about this new anime.

In case you, the reader doesn’t know what I am talking about, One Punch Man is a new anime that follows a upcoming hero who is able to take out any enemy with just one punch, yeah I know. The story takes place in the fictional Japanese metropolis of City Z. The world is full of strange monsters that mysteriously appear and cause disasters. Saitama, the protagonist, is an exceptionally powerful hero who easily defeats the monsters or other villains with a single punch. However, due to his overwhelming strength, Saitama has become bored with his powers and is constantly trying to find stronger opponents who can fight him.

The first episode was more of an introduction to the hero and it was really simple, just a regular guy who wanted to become a hero, achieved that dream by pushing his body to the absolute max and now regrets doing it. In all honestly I was about to give after the first episode because it didn’t grab my attention, but I pressed on forward and continued to watch the remaining two episodes currently available.

The more I actually watched the anime, the more I started getting interested in it. It had a funny sense of humor and its funny to see all these outrageous monsters get pwned with just one punch. The animation is very good in this anime and I like the music (well the opening music to be more precise).

In the end I have decided to continue to watch this anime and see where it ends up, I would recommend anyone who currently has nothing to watch and enjoys ridiculous comedy to try it out themselves.
